Afternoon in Parque Francisco Morazan

Thank author of this post/comment

We all love weekends. It's the time of the week when we get days off work and have some time for ourselves. We get to read a book, play some games, have some coffee with friends, or probably just catch up on sleep that we lost during the rest of the week. Personally, I prefer dropping by the park to watch regular people proceed with their own weekends. A book is always a good company when you are on it.

Now I would never live in any city without a good public park. Parks are the lungs of the city so it would be a shame for a city not to have any of it. San Jose has a couple of parks, but none of them particularly stand out. San Jose does not have too many nice parks, but a few are worth noting about.

Located in downtown San Jose, Parque Francisco Morazan (Francisco Morazan Park) is among the more interesting and more attractive parks around the city. It is surrounded by an iron fence with ornate patterns. This small public park is a good addition to the country's laid-back atmosphere, providing a public place where friends can gather, dog owners can walk their dogs, book lovers can enjoy reading, and basically where people can have a good afternoon.

Aside from the greenery, there is also an abundance of statues and busts. Then on Sundays, there is a pavilion that becomes a stage for bands who play during the afternoons, a nice way to cap off any weekend. Just don't stick around when night falls because, like other parks, this one can get dangerous.

You will probably say that there are far better ways to spend your weekends in San Jose. There are the theaters and the bars, for example. But if you don't want to spend much and if you would rather have the peace of the afternoon, a day at the park (particularly Parque Francisco Morazan) is a good choice.

Poor man's paradise

Keep this min mind... . Some people like to call Costa Rica various things like Puerto Rico or Costa Rico. Costa Rica translates to "Rich Coast"... check out Costa Rica. Costa Rica is also two words, not one, ie: Costarica or CostaRico. San Jose is the capitol city of Costa Rica. The San Jose International Aiport (SJO) is really located in Alajuela, Costa Rica (about 15 km from the Capital San Jose). Have you added a link to us from your website? (1428271834):
